What kind of father would I be if I did not gush over my first daughters birth announcement? After hemming and hawing over what to do for the announcement for sometime, this is what we came up with...2 colors, 2 sided, 5x7, 220lb fluorescent white lettra, 1 color envelope, flat printed die cut liners, edge painting. Nothing but the best for my little princess!

incase your wondering, we always prefer to edge paint on thicker stocks like the 220lb.

Ok...yup...bad blogging over here at Czar Press. We have been super duper busy, but have failed to update the blog in a LONG time. So enough excuses...here goes some recent, and kinda recent projects. Better late than never right?

Here is a little feature we were mentioned in the latest Southern Weddings Mag. This project was brought to use by Mika 78.

A couple of the printed pieces were featured...but we did do a combo of both letterpress and flat printed for the wedding, including the invite, menu and drink selections.

New Czar Cards

Just thought I would show off some new business cards that I printed for myself. These are 2/2, on 220/600 gram fluorescent white lettra (the good stuff!), complete with red edge painting. The advantage of using paper this thick...you can press REALLY hard and not have any show through on either side of the card...plus it just feels really nice!

Maemae Baby Announcement

Here are some pics of a really cool baby announcement designed by Maemae Paperie. These were flat printed on 300 gram cotton ecru paper. Check out all of the little baby symbols that make up the boot...really cool!

Style Me Pretty Shout Out

A month or so ago the kind and talented MaeMae Paperie invited us to print the paper products for a photography workshop that Jessica Claire was holding...they basically staged a wedding, gathered up a bunch of great vendors and took amazing pictures. Custom Wedding: Champagne + Blind

Check out this custom wedding invite we printed a month or two ago....one of our favorites! This is a 2 color invitation set with invite, rsvp, belly band, printed envelopes, thank you notes and rehearsal dinner invite. It was printed with champagne color ink for the first color and blind for the second. For the blind, we like to use white ink...which adds a nice little touch. The paper was 300 gram pearl white cotton lettra.

Jasfitz Business Cards

I wanted to show off this new business card that we printed last week. The cards are for Jasmine at JasFitz. These cards are 2/2 on 600gram (220) cotton lettra...which is REALLY REALLY thick and luxurious. Oh...and it takes a deep impression.

Pawn Shop Kings

We recently had the honor of printing the CD jacket for the new Pawn Shop Kings six song EP. If you happen to live in a backwoods hole and have never heard them...check them out ( listen here! ). Here is a pic of the jacket coming off the press...

If you take a peek on the back of the jacket, you will notice they were gracious enough to give czar press a shout out.

This is a wedding invite that just came off the press. It was designed by Courtney at Recherche Invitations This was a two color job, chocolate brown and rose, printed on 300 gram cotton ecru paper. You will notice they went with 2 color envelopes( 1st pic)...pretty fancy!
